HAMILTON, Bermuda — Bermuda’s opposition party, the One Bermuda Alliance (OBA), has seen yet another of their leaders ousted.
This time, Jeanne Atherden was reportedly removed for being too passive.
Ironically, she was replaced by former party leader and one time premier Craig Cannonier, who is no stranger to controversy, as he himself was forced to step down as premier in May 2014 after serving for less than 18 months.
He was caught in a major political scandal dubbed ‘Jetgate’, which included the revelation of covert campaign funding by an American billionaire.
The OBA presently has 11 seats in the 36-seat parliament.
