Letter: Response to commentary in Trinidad Guardian
Published on February 27, 2017Email To Friend    Print Version

Dear Sir:

In response to Kevin Baldeosingh's commentary in today's Trinidad Guardian entitled "Why is T&T making Terrorists?", a more accurate and appropriate heading should have read: "Why is T&T making Criminals?"

This commentary exemplifies cut and paste journalism. The author lacks understanding and foresight and has adopted a 'Trump style approach' in trying to do a job without experience. This commentary is laced with a poisonous blend of bigotry and racial discrimination to say the least.

Kevin Baldeosingh should do himself and the Guardian newspaper a huge favour and stop writing and pick up garbage collection instead, since that's what he accustomed doing: picking up other people's garbage and dumping it on the citizens of this country.

He is the laziest person, second to Donald Trump, when it comes to research and fact checking. Guardian Media Ltd definitely has to do something about this plague that has infected the integrity of this media house.

I'm therefore calling for a full retraction of this commentary and further calling on and challenging Guardian Media Ltd to do an in-depth study and investigative journalistic work on the subject matter as it relates to Trinidad and Tobago.
