BRIDGETOWN, Barbados -- For the last 15 years, there have been only three individuals certified Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 in Barbados. Stansfeld Scott and Wine World recently increased those numbers nationally, with five team members achieving Level 3 qualifications in one sitting.

Along with 16 employees already certified WSET Level 2, the company retains the highest level of knowledge in wines and spirits in Barbados. This investment in and development of its people is one of the hallmarks of the Stansfeld Scott group.

According to commercial director, Jayshree Kessaram, "With 21 WSET certified team members at Stansfeld Scott and our Wine World stores, we reaffirm our commitment to investing in our people and to deliver to our customers a level of service excellence that elevates national standards. Our team can serve with pride and our customers can shop with confidence that they are in friendly, competent hands."

As part of its ongoing education program WSET courses will also be available to team members in 2017.

The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits is one of the most prestigious certifications in the industry. WSET is an awarding body based in the United Kingdom and is the global leader in wine and spirits education.
