Martinique Cyclotron: Caribbean cooperation for the treatment of cancer

FORT DE FRANCE, Martinique -- The second steering committee of the Cyclotron of Martinique (FWI) met on Thursday at the invitation of the Territorial Collectivity of Martinique.

On this occasion, representatives of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Antigua and Curacao health authorities were invited in order to strengthen the cooperation links centered on this equipment, which is essential for the treatment of cancers in the Caribbean.

Discussions were held with elected officials from the CTM, the Regional Health Agency (ARS), the CHUM (Hospital and University Center of Martinique), the Nuclear Medicine Department, the Cancer Registry, in order to set up a project to develop and promote medical, scientific and technical cooperation.
