US carrier Dynamic Airways to commence Guyana/New York service

GEORGETOWN, Guyana -- US-based carrier, Dynamic Airways, in conjunction with Guyana-based Roraima Airways, is set to launch scheduled service between New York and Georgetown, Guyana, from June 26 using two wide-body Boeing 767-200 aircraft. Dynamic Airways will fly non-stop four times weekly on the lucrative New York/Georgetown route to fill a gap left when Delta Airlines pulled of out Guyana a year ago.

Dynamic Airways, which is based in Greensboro, North Carolina, is a charter company that has been in existence since 2010. In its fleet, the company has five Boeing 767 aircraft and has been operating flights on behalf of tour operators. Now the company wants to get into regular schedule flights in partnership with Roraima Airways of Guyana.

Roraima will handle all the ground operations in Georgetown, while Dynamic will station two Boeing 767s at Guyana’s Cheddi Jagan Airport.

Dynamic Airways sees a profitable future in Guyana. Senior vice president of business development of Dynamic Airways, Tom Johnson, was in Guyana last week to launch the new service and said that his company is looking to stay in Guyana for a long time.

He said, “I am very excited about partnering with Roraima and Guyana. We are here for the long haul and we see a future in Guyana that we want to be a part of and help it grow.”

Eventually Dynamic Airways will service the Toronto market from Guyana and will explore other lucrative markets from Georgetown.

Dynamic Airways joins Copa Airlines and Insel Air in commencing service to Guyana this summer.
