Travel firm celebrates resumption of people-to-people travel to Cuba with free airfare
Published on October 17, 2012 Email To Friend    Print Version

NEW ROCHELLE, USA -- Insight Cuba, the leading provider of US authorized people-to-people travel to Cuba, is celebrating the recommencement of its highly acclaimed tours to Cuba by offering free round-trip airfare from Miami to Havana on select dates.

After an unprecedented administrative slowdown at the US Department of Treasury, Office of Assets Control, which issues licenses, Insight Cuba is able once again to offer the opportunity for Americans to legally discover Cuba through its people.

Since 2000, Insight Cuba has led the way in legal people-to-people travel to Cuba and continues to provide unique access to people and places the average person rarely sees, with its six programs and 100 departures scheduled through September 2013.

"The experiences we've created for the 2012-2013 season are the most unique ever," said Tom Popper, president of Insight Cuba, a division of the nonprofit Cross-Cultural Solutions.

Tours include personal exchanges with popular Cuban musicians and artists in their studios; interacting with schoolchildren in their classrooms; and spending an afternoon with a local historian and residents to learn about their city, among many others.

Insight Cuba's tours vary in duration, theme, and destinations. All tours include carefully selected hotels, a Cuban guide, an Insight Cuba Tour Leader, all meals, in-country ground and air transportation, transfers, all entry fees to events, US Treasury Department license and Letter of Authorization, travel health insurance, and medical trip cancellation coverage (up to $1,000).
