Summer is easy in Puerto Rico
Published on June 22, 2013 Email To Friend    Print Version

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- Puerto Rico is celebrating the beginning of summer by offering exceptional discounts on over 60 hotels and flights to the unique island paradise from select US cities.

Customers can save up to 50% off all published fares at over 60 hotels and resorts – from local inns to luxury hotels. In addition, travelers can benefit from additional discounts on airfares when travelling to Puerto Rico, with daily flights nonstop from major East Coast and Midwest cities.

"Whether you want to trek through El Yunque – the only official rainforest in the US, take a zipline adventure, snorkel in the underground kingdom of coral reefs, enjoy gourmet cuisine, or just relax and soak up the sun on our famous beaches, Puerto Rico has something for everybody, and is the perfect place to spend a summer holiday with family and friends, no matter what your budget may be," said Ingrid Rivera, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.

"Our 'Summer is Easy in Puerto Rico' promotional campaign is designed to ensure that U.S. travellers enjoy the ideal start to the summer in a dream destination. With up to 50% off a range of hotels and resorts, fantastic discounts on regular daily flights, and the close proximity to the East Coast, there has never been a better time to experience Puerto Rico – and our US visitors don't even need their passports!" added Rivera.

Only a few hours flight from the US East Coast, Puerto Rico is a distinct mix of Spanish, Indian, and African influences, combined with a tropical atmosphere of beaches, rainforest, ocean and a rapidly growing element of luxury. Whether you're exploring Old San Juan, discovering the island's numerous beach towns, hiking in the stunning jungle of El Yunque, shopping in the designer boutiques of Condado, Puerto Rico's unique culture and spirit is never far from sight.
