Saint Lucians in Canada to celebrate 34 years of independence with PM Anthony
Published on February 4, 2013 Email To Friend    Print Version

TORONTO, Canada -- Following celebrations in Saint Lucia to commemorate 34 years of Saint Lucia’s independence on February 22, 2013, Prime Minister Kenny Anthony is scheduled to be in Canada as the guest of honour for several planned events, two of which are public events scheduled for Toronto.

The theme for this year’s independence is “Unlock Our Creativity, Transform Our World.” The celebrations in Toronto will commence on February 22 with a flag raising ceremony at Toronto City Hall rooftop podium at 12 noon.

On February 24 at 3:30 pm a thanksgiving service will be held at the Prince of Peace Church, Alton Towers Circle in Scarborough.

The independence dinner gala is schedule for March 2, where the prime minister is scheduled to deliver the key note address.

This will be followed with an open town hall meeting on Sunday, March 3, at the York Civic Centre, 2700 Eglinton Avenue West. At this forum the prime minister is expected to meet nationals to discuss matters of state and take questions.

These events are coordinated by the consulate general of Saint Lucia in Toronto and the Saint Lucia Associations in Toronto.

Similar events are planned in Calgary and Montreal.

Don't expect your independence to continue if Anthony takes you into ALBA, beware the MARXIST conspiracy.
