Martinique launches new full-immersion language learning package for 2011
Published on December 27, 2010      Print Version

NEW YORK, USA -- The Martinique Promotion Bureau/CMT USA has teamed with the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) to launch a new full-immersion language learning package, offering travelers the opportunity to learn French while experiencing the best of Martinique.

Slated for March 15-20, the new package is priced at $899 and includes all of the following:

• Five nights at the exquisite MGallery Bakoua hotel in Trois-Ilets
• 12 hours of French conversation classes led by a bilingual instructor/tour guide

• Five complimentary meals
• Full day catamaran excursion

• Guided excursions to La Pagerie Museum (birthplace of Empress Joséphine), Fort-de-France, and the Depaz rum distillery

The $899 package rate is per-person based on double occupancy and a minimum of 10 participants. Airfare and some meals are not included.

The lesson plan features a mix of in-classroom sessions held at the host hotel, the MGallery Bakoua, and guided excursions to cultural and historic points of interest throughout the island.

Excursions are planned in line with each day’s classroom session, reinforcing lectures by showcasing the best of Martinique’s museums, rum distilleries, sailing, beaches and more.

“There’s a strong demand for French language immersion classes in sunny destinations like Martinique, especially during the winter months,” said Muriel Wiltord, director, Americas for the Martinique Promotion Bureau/CMT USA. “Much more than a pretty place to learn, Martinique is recognized for its strong cultural assets and rich history. This immersion program unites all of this to create a truly unique educational travel experience.”
