Letter: Well I never did! Pants on fire!
Published on August 11, 2014 Email To Friend    Print Version

Dear Sir:

In SVG, we have been lied to so much, lied so much about, until we all find it difficult to tell what is a lie and what is fact.

In fact there has been an abandonment of fact in St Vincent and the Grenadines politics. The person to whom this refers is obvious, because the country, our people in the Diaspora, the region and perhaps much of the world know exactly who I am referring to.

He has been known to lie about things that he doesn't have any reason to lie about. He probably lies to everyone, his friends and colleagues, his enemies, young girls, old women, the citizens. I believe that just about everyone at some time or other has been subject to his lies, either as a subject, or as a recipient, we are all receivers of false or embroidered information. Every citizen is affected in one way or another.

He is almost certainly a serial liar using both the written and spoken word to cast his lies far and wide. Often using lies to sow the seeds of hatred, spite and malice, ridicule and sheer evil.

He has lied in and out of parliament, and his parliamentary lies are even recorded. He expects his supporters and followers to accept his lies and demands they translate them as absolute truth. Many of his closest followers even embroider and extend his lies and repeat them declaring them to be the truth.

The least trustworthy of persons in life is the liar, liars start wars and tell people that everything is great when it’s not. Most people think that liars are thieves, crooks and generally dishonest people. They are probably right, because just the act of lying is theft and deception. Lying is theft of the truth to commit an act of deception.

They say you must be very clever and have a good memory to be a good liar, I suppose that is true if there is any such thing as a good liar. So I suppose if a man is able to tell lies and they go undetected and are believed, he is classed as a good liar. Then if a man is not a good liar, his lies are easily detected; he is classed as some sort of political jerk.

Our political liar lies because he is forwarding personnel and sometimes secret agendas and doesn’t want us to catch on. He also lies because he is tailoring his messages to what he thinks we want to hear, or what he wants us to believe. We know that. Everybody knows that, at least every one of our citizens knows that.

But if everybody knows that, why do so many people act as if they don’t know it? It’s a strange phenomenon to say the least.

There are six things that the LORD strongly dislikes, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 6: 16-19

These proverbs must have been written with him in mind.

To Peter Binose

"I appreciate the input and your very intelligence in analysing, and the forensic input in writing this amazing piece".

Don't these words sound familiar? Yep! I borrowed your words...I only punctuated for you.

Did you lose your whistle? Anyhow, keep up the good work. What a Masterpiece!

Bernard Gonsalves:

To Peter Binose- Politicians lie its what they do!!! Usa senators lie about there religious beliefs to get votes, british politicians lie about everything (expenses, weapons of mass fact most of the people on this planet lie every day, not just little white lies but big whoppers about ancient superstitious nonsense that cost thousands of lives every year through wars (my Gods better than your God or your not the right kind of Muslim ), Aids in Africa ( Pope Benedict XVI says "condoms make Aids worse") etc etc etc. So my friend I'm not saying everybody is like this but sadly most are. Your politician is just one of many.

Peter Binose:

I know politicians in Africa, Russia, USA, Britain. Not one of them would find the need to lie about things that they do not need to lie about. None of them are serial liars. Going further than that not one of them would carry the hate, spite, malice and sheer evil that our liar carries and administers. Remember ours lies in parliament, has been caught out many times.

He is like no other politician, he is a Marxist and yet works Obeah for Satan.

Bernard Gonsalves:

Dear Peter - Your talk of Voodoo and devils confirms my point admirably, thank you.

Peter Binose:

BERNARD, my reference to Obeah, is direct information from PM Gonsalves himself. He told is in Parliament, which is recored in Hansard, " if I work Obeah, I only work Obeah for the Lord" We all know that you cannot work evil of any kind for God. So as far as I am concerned he must have been referring to the Lord of Darkness, Satan himself.

Now what I wrote is based in truth, based on what Gonsalves actually said, not my words, his.

You must also note that the opposition leader has never been proved a liar, and unlike Gonsalves has never self testified that he is a liar of any kind. Eustace is known as honourable, and unlike Gonsalves has never been accused of rape or sexual assault once, much less than six times.
