Peter is it true? Are these questions really true?
D. Markie Spring:
Great questions - need to be assessed and answered --- and possibly a debate
ALLAN, I know the answers to the questions, I want others to confirm or deny before I react.
I have many more questions and will submit them periodicaly for the people to debate.
ALLAN, Gonsalves his self once told a group I was with, never ask a question unless you already know the answer.
Things are a lot worse than those simple questions I ask.
The whole country is turning into a horror story.
The airport is in big trouble with the runway sinking, the Terminal 30' lower than the runway.
They have had to abandon the oil terminal project of off loading aviation fuel from ships, now it will have to come via road tanker, through Kingstown at a great risk of explosion.
They have not got enough big stones to drop in the sea to finish the end of the runway. The soil and small stone they have been filling with is washing away as quick as they fill.
Springs under the runway have made the ground into a huge sponge.
Sea blast is already starting to affect the new terminal, which is built with mild steel instead of medical quality stainless. The whole thing is becoming a bigger fiasco than it already was.
The wind is still going to be a major problem, 6 miles of heavy zinc plated plastic coated airport quality chain link fencing to be installed to keep out man and beast [dogs, cows, sheep, man]. It must be impervious to all including sea blast, high winds and storm.
