Letter: Humour me! Part III
Published on February 23, 2013 Email To Friend    Print Version

Dear Sir:

Taken in under the spell of the evil scientist, Lord All-knowledgeable, “El Gigante Hippocampus,” St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) began a spiral descent. Crisis revolutions and evolutions along with revisionism guide the people’s fantastic voyage through the 21st century into a bad acid trip dream.

It was Gypsy out of Trinidad that sung “The sinking ship (The Trinidad)” which most that know the song call it “Captain the ship is sinking”! Please, Gypsy, how about a little regional integration in song, a remake is in store for SVG.

How on God’s earth, a fact was stated that EC$1 million plus was removed from an account at SVG Building and Loan Association (B&L) but it became a tirade on the opposition leader being described as nasty and Vincies abroad on the internet being described as people who can’t keep jobs?

Seriously, why let the facts stop you? Oh yes! As “Man CP” says, tell Uncle Darrell to send more barrels! Over $120 million EC in remittances per year including the barrels that keep SVG afloat. However, the prime minister (PM) did say a former director of the B&L on several occasion advised his brothers to remove the money.

So, who is this former director? Is the former director a white angel, the phantom menace, the phantom of the Opera or Darth Vader? I am certain that many Vincentians at home and abroad including the “Man About Town” would like to know.

So once again, who is this former director that had information on B&L and sees it fit to only tell a few people? Is it the invisible girlfriend of Manti Te’o? Who is it and what is the government going to do about that person and the whole state of affairs?

Note, the government of SVG had supervision of B&L since 2009. According to the PM, the money was removed in October of 2012. Furthermore, one of your trusted employees in the Ministry of Finance pours gasoline on the fire at B&L with a letters in the Vincentian newspaper in January 2013. Did this letter create uncertainty and cause possible investors losses?

I am trying to make sense out of this nonsense at B&L. When will transparency be a source of pride in SVG?

SOS! SOS! Gypsy Boy! Gypsy Boy! Vincies calling on you for a remake! In the meantime, we will listen to I-Mad’s, “St Vincent Mash Up”! Because it really seems like the Big Top Circus came to town and left without its clowns.

Humour me! Humour me! Humour me! Somebody tickle me! Tickle me! Tickle me!

Peace and justice and get real.

Peter:

LENFORD, great piece. Expect to be attacked by the regimes red ants, they are very sensative at this time about anything that they see as a presentation of the truth. Anything that exposes their leader to the truth is worth an attack.

Patrick G Ferrari:

If I had a bunch of moolah in B & L and had the benefit of insider trading information to take it to hell out, I'd act on it certain and more certain not boast about it.
