Letter: Grenadians must kick Tillman Thomas out
Published on February 18, 2013 Email To Friend    Print Version

Dear Sir:

Grenadians at home as well as those in the Diaspora have finally got the opportunity on 19 February (Election Day) not just vote against the Thomas-led discredited NDC government but to kick every one of his miserable, intolerable, and incompetent parliamentarians out of office and hopefully for good. They should not support the party’s new candidates either; the leadership treated Grenadians with total and utter contempt by the prorogation of parliament.

The Tillman Thomas-led NDC government brought nothing short of hardship and misery to the very same people who voted them into office in 2008. They administered over a collapsed economy and have done absolutely nothing to try and revive it to help create employment for those of working age instead; they spent most of their time in office persecuting those within the party who sought a change of direction.

Those with vision and ability were hounded 24/ 7 by senior members of the party and at no time did this incompetent prime minister intervene to stop the barracking and show any sign of leadership by making effort to bridge any gaps or cracks within party ranks.

Part of his job as leader should have been to get elected members to focus on the job they were elected to do which was to run the country and help lift Grenadians out of poverty by create the environment that would generate growth to provide jobs; at least maintain essential services such as healthcare; education; infrastructure and the environment.

Thomas’s reign as prime minister of Grenada clearly showed that he is an individual who cannot even lead a thirsty donkey to water. Even Hurricane Ivan was not able to match what Thomas’s five years in charge of our country did and that is to ruin our economy; divide our people and set back people’s standard of living by almost 20 years.

The opposition should fight them on their record and the people should kick each and every one of them out of office.

Winston Strachan we Grenadians support Tillman Thomas, and we like him the way he is. Too sad about your leader Mitchel. Like you and an empty barrel he is a also lot of noise. Have you ever thought about donating some money to help him pay back some of the debt created by Keith Mitchel?

Ian Francis, Toronto,Ontario:

Brilliant article. He will be kicked out. unfortunately,Mr. Android is still stuck with the bebt defamation. Oh gosh man, respond to Winston's article rather than dem short quips you have given CNN writers for months.

Accept it is over for Tillman and your NDC. Obeah or fals wishes wont work.

Welcome Prime Minister (DESIGNATE) Dr. Mitchell.
