Letter: The St Lucia Labour Party government of Satan
Published on March 21, 2014 Email To Friend    Print Version

Dear Sir:

Strictly speaking, the economy of Satan by the government of Satan is the uncomfortable description of the Saint Lucian economy, with Kenny Anthony as Hon. Finance Minister.

Just as Satan tried to deceive the creator on the mountain top -- declaring that all these and those are mine -- is much the same genocide that the St Lucia Labour Party of Kenny Anthony is inflicting on the people of Saint Lucia.

To hear Kenny Anthony at the SLP conference of delegates begging unabashedly to the Venezuelan, Cuban and ALBA diplomats that he needs the same if not more of ALBA money than Dominica has received is despicable. This says one thing: Kenny Anthony and the SLP are hell bent on burdening Saint Lucians with debt. Their mindset is corrupt, like a Trojan horse virus, while their eyes are deliberately blind to the situation in Central and South America. These realities will be knocking on all ABLA countries in the coming months to create more havoc on already depressed islands of the Caribbean.

Also, not only am I amazed at Kenny Anthony’s incoherent mind and his lack of knowledge to understand what St Kitts and Nevis is doing, to the extent that they can donate millions to Saint Lucia following the Christmas Eve trough.

Similar to 1997, Saint Lucians are running away from their financial liabilities with financial institutions. On a weekly basis the banks, telecommunication companies, mum and pop shops are contributing to the unemployment debacle. VAT, the very repressive tax that Kenny Anthony once looked down, on is now a hangman’s noose on Saint Lucians. The poverty of crime is rampant. Legal and illegal bounce and draw is the order of the day. Not even the governor general knows what the Saint Lucia’s foreign service is doing while they suck and blow at taxpayers’ expense. A latter day Sir John Compton and Jessica have hijacked the SLP inner circle. I can’t wait for that story to hit the press.

Saint Lucia is bleeding. Saint Lucia is retarding every day at the hands of Kenny Anthony and the SLP. Kenny Anthony and the SLP style of governance is as evil as Satan. Never mind they continue to live high on the hog.

Tourism is the island’s economic life support even as the APD chokehold on the UK market might now be released slightly next year. Chiquita and Dole took the Hon. Finance Minister by surprise. Republic Bank of Trinidad is positioning itself to merge two Saint Lucian banks. The trinities are coming to town, scooping up business and real estate, while Kenny Anthony as Hon. Finance Minister continues to feather his retirement nest while trashing Saint Lucians’ intelligence with questionable advisors, political talking heads and a cabinet of PhDs (pothole degrees) that are not suitable to block a hole in the city of Castries.

Similar to Allen Chastanet’s UWP bluffers party, the SLP government of Satan administered by Kenny Anthony as finance minister is unashamed of itself and the pain and suffering they are inflicting on the people of Saint Lucia.

The island and its wonderful people are caught between incompetence and corruption. What a ting!
