Letter: Make a move, Nileung
Published on January 24, 2014 Email To Friend    Print Version

Dear Sir:

The only real political power that Nileung Hypolite has left is to cross the floor and deliver his constituents to a better life.

If he cared for a minute about these people he would realize that, regardless of what he sees as his political future, his constituents come first.

And with rumours that he is one of the Manning loyalists to be purged and replaced as candidate by Fitzgerald Hinds, the Laventille West MP should do the sensible and decent thing and sacrifice his immediate ambitions for a better life for the people who voted for him.

In one move he has the power to move them from hopelessness and bring them into government.

Nothing else makes sense, and with nothing to lose and only the world to gain he would be remiss should he refuse this once in a lifetime opportunity to deliver REAL and lasting development and change for the people of these communities.

I extend my hand in friendship and support and promise to not only help build the bridge he must cross to get into the Promised Land, but to work tirelessly with him to bring whatever relief and redevelopment exists that can transform the lives of the people of these communities from squalor to opportunity, from despair to hope.

I stand ready....
