Letter: How to install a Marxist-Leninist dictator in a small Caribbean state
Published on November 17, 2012 Email To Friend    Print Version

Dear Sir:

Become a student revolutionary Marxist-Leninist. Find a cause and organise a riot resulting in damage and death. Get the respect of other revolutionaries. Get a degree in political science and law. Grow up and mature a little. Keep your Marxist-Lenin affiliation from the ears of the people lest you frighten them. Get elected as the prime minister. Make yourself minister of all important ministries.

As taught by the works of Marx and Lenin, pretend to be religious, don’t alienate the church, they hold great voting power. Keeping in mind Marx said, “Religion is opium for the people,” Fool the poor and ignorant and set them against those more fortunate. Establish a hatred by your followers against all who criticise you. Hug up as many children as possible to give the impression of love for the people. Give those who support you better education and employment, even firing those who don’t support you, to give away their jobs.

Gradually change laws that protect freedom of speech and independent rights. Control all communications such TV radio, telephone and internet. Tap telephones and internet to see who opposes you. Change Police Acts and get them under your control. Totally control the judiciary with the carrot and stick method. Be in yourself the last court of appeal by pronouncing, "Go to whatever court you choose, but you will have to come back to Papa." Get the country reliant on other Marxist-Stalinist rulers of other countries, financially and politically (such as Chavez and Castro). Build community halls, schools, roads and bridges with money and expertise from the EU, US, CPR, Japan and pretend that you and your government did it.

Pretend that Cuba and Venezuela are great benefactors, without letting the citizens know they are really your political controllers. Surround yourself with fools and yes men in parliament and completely control them. Change the constitution and abolish elections. Get rid of any American medical students, so as a repeat of Grenada cannot occur. Elect yourself the president. Now control the church and the people just like Cuba and other communist controlled states and as demanded by Marxist-Leninist doctrine. Take up the mantle of the dead Grenadian Marxist, Maurice Bishop, and continue his dastardly work in the Caribbean.

Stay in power for life and surround yourself with lots of security. Create a dynasty so as your children will continue to rule after you are gone. Prepare your son to take over.
