Letter: Concern for Haiti's schoolchildren in Germany

Dear Sir:

My name is Steve Elsner and I come from Germany. I am 10-years-old. I write to you because I have a big check and something I want to write about. My mother is from Haiti and I was born in Germany and have therefore a great dream. I want to build a school for children in Haiti because that is my big goal.

Here in Germany I have already written to some aid organizations but no one wants to help me. I also have written to a German minister but I will probably never get an answer because here in Germany no one thinks more of Haiti and I cannot understand. There are kids there like me.

I am happy that someone has discovered while playing golf and why I dream my dream as a golfer can continue. I train a lot so that I can achieve something whether later in sport or in school. I wrote Mr Clinton and to this day I have got no answer, so I wanted to ask you to forward my letter to Mr Clinton.

They do have more opportunities than me because I'm only 10-years-old, which has really helped as yet. No I have not forgotten you. I try as quickly as possible to help you children.

It is my pleasure to tell the kids in Haiti.
