Grenada government, opposition scheduling events for election anniversary
Published on June 23, 2012 Email To Friend    Print Version

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada -- As the fourth anniversary of Grenada’s last general election approaches, separate events to commemorate the occasion are being planned by government and the opposition New National Party (NNP).

The NNP, after 13 years in office, was ousted in national polls held on July 8, 2008.

The opposition, which recently failed to receive parliamentary support for a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Tillman Thomas, has scheduled its annual convention for next month.

The NNP, which is celebrating the 28th anniversary of its founding, will hold its 2012 convention and a rally on July 8. The theme is “Reviewing Our Past, Charting Our Future. NNP – The Only Answer”.

It is also reported that a “Prime Minister’s Rally” is also being scheduled for July 8 to highlight the work and achievements of the four-year-old government.

A similar rally organized under the aegis of the prime minister on May 20 also clashed with an NNP event held the same day.

There is no word on whether the National Democratic Congress, as a party, will be having any special activities on July 8 to commemorate the NDC’s triumphant 11 – 4 victory over the NNP in 2008.

WOW :-> This Continues to be a Circus Act !

" PRIME MINISTER'S RALLY " ; " to highlight the work and achievements of the four-year-old government " The Answer: The BIG ZERO.

WHAT WORK ? ? ? ? WHAT ACHIEVEMENTS ????

In the last 4 long years; this Silly Tilly Stuck-Up, Selfish & Self-Centered Regime has Crippled, Wrecked & Damaged Grenada as BAD, if not WORSE; than HURRICANE IVAN !!!! This Regime Wrecked Grenada to Epic Levels.

Tilly in his Say Anything to get Elected in 2008 Mode; Promised Prosperity & Better Life for ALL; INSTEAD DELIVERED POVERTY. BUT: For Himself & his Family & Cronies; Tilly delivered Lavish Luxury Lifestyle !!

There is No Job Creation; while Tens of Thousands are Jobless, Citizens Suffering. ** WAKE UP TILLMAN THOMAS & NAZIM BURKE **

The Business Sector and Tourism is now Crumbling; Grenada should be RISING STAR; not being more and more called all over the world as: The Ghetto of the Caribbean. This pathetic Do - Nothing Regime sits on its Golden Throne; Forgetting there is a CRUMBLING FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDREN !!!!!

TILLY; RESTORE OUR FUTURE ! You Wrecked Grenada Enough ... Your Regime To-Date is not a Success Story; it's TRAGIC LEGACY !!

GRENADA NEEDS A MOMENTUM SHIFT -> TOWARD ECONOMIC GROWTH, PROSPERITY PLUS TO SHAPE AND MAKE GRENADA ANOTHER " RISING STAR " The Next Upcoming Jewel of the Caribbean.

We had friends at work visit Grenada last year; it was very humiliating when they returned & they all were very let-down by their Holiday; " as the Place Dirty and Run Down; they afraid of the Tyrant Tilly Politics talk; swearing they would never revisit ". WE CAN DO BETTER ! WE MUST DO BETTER ! As they say: Rome is Burning ... Tilly is Playing Games in the Sandbox !!!!

N.D.C. should not stand for: Nut Destroys Country but Nice Developed Country !!!!!
