INDIAN CASTLE, Nevis -- It was the final race of the day in the very exciting Culturama 40 horse race meet on Sunday August 3rd at the Indian Castle race track in Nevis and race number three was initially expected to be the race of the day, even without Mr Big Pepe who passed away recently.

In the third race Wild Candy came out tops in what was considered a ‘good race.’

However, excitement mounted in the last race, as the four horses increased their pace and kept close to each other on the first leg.

There were loud shrieks and screams from the crowd as three of the horses headed down the home stretch, neck and neck.

As they crossed the finish line, fans and stable personnel were all claiming victory for their respective horses.

It came down to a video replay in slow motion to determine the top three places, with Hawley’s Wild Fire winning by a head in the final analysis.

The summary of the four races for the day is as follows:

Race One
1st Gotogetarythym
2nd Alleyesonme
3rd Grey Ghost

Race Two
1st Pleasure
2nd Tiedentwine
3rd Obama

Race Three
1st Wild Candy
2nd Big Everytime
3rd Lowette’s Hill

Race Four
1st Hawley’s Wild Fire
2nd Lady Boss
3rd Shaken Shaye

The next race meet will be the big one on September 16, when the annual Dan Bartlette Memorial Stakes will be held.
