Dominica opposition explores investment opportunities in Guadeloupe
Published on April 19, 2014 Email To Friend    Print Version

ROSEAU, Dominica -- During a recent trip to Guadeloupe to meet with Dominican nationals resident there, the opposition United Workers Party (UWP) Team Dominica inquired into the possibility of further developing and creating new investment opportunities with the French neighbour.

At a press briefing on Thursday, Lennox Linton, UWP leader, said that one of the purposes of the Team Dominica tour to the French department was to discover what the island has to offer to Dominica

UWP candidate for Grandfond, Dr Thomson Fontaine said the team saw opportunities to expand the country’s trade.

Apart from sourcing new opportunities, Linton said Team Dominica took some time to deal with the important issue of sensitizing Dominican nationals in Guadeloupe on the proper electoral procedure and conduct.

The UWP Team Dominica returned to Dominica on Wednesday and will leave the island again on April 25 to continue the tour in the USVI and BVI.
