ST JOHN’S, Antigua -- Windward Islands opener Devon Smith has been dominant in the first half of the Regional 4-Day and Super50 tournaments this year. The 31-year-old Grenadian has captured two 4-Day Man-of-the-Match awards along with one in the Super50 Tournament.

Smith copped his Super50 trophy against Guyana when he led Windwards to a 7 wicket win with an undefeated century.

The left handed strokemaker also collected 4-Day MoM awards against Combined Campuses and Colleges and Trinidad and Tobago. Smith cracked double tons (139 and 106*) against CCC and followed up with 99 against the Trinis.

At the half-way stage of the season Smith has totalled 456 runs in the 4 Day at an average of 76 while he has added another 203 runs in the Super50 at an average of 67.67.

Jamaican left arm spinner Nikita Miller and 20 year-old Trinidadian leg spinner Yannick Cariah are on Smith’s heels with two awards each.

Miller won his two for bowling Jamaica to victory over Barbados and Windwards – both in the longer format. The 30 year old left arm twirler had match hauls of 10 for 67 (v Barbados) and 9 for 46 (v Windwards).

Cariah, a former West Indies Under-19 player, has one each in the 4-Day (3/35 & 3/39 v Leewards) and Super50 (5/44 v Windwards).

The domestic season continues on Thursday with three Super50 matches in Jamaica (Jamaica v Leeward Islands), Trinidad (Trinidad and Tobago v CCC) and Barbados (Barbados v Windward Islands).
