HAVANA, Cuba (ACN) -- Cuba has condemned the attack on the US diplomatic mission in Libya and regretted the death of the US ambassador, according to a statement released by the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s United States Division.

“Cuba, which has been the victim of multiple attacks against its diplomatic missions and personnel, which have taken the lives of foreign service officials, condemns the attacks against the United States Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi and the death of the United States Ambassador in Libya,” the statement reads.

The statement categorically affirms Cuba’s strong opposition to all acts of violence against diplomatic missions and their personnel in any part of the world and in any circumstances and disregarding the reasons, concludes the statement by the United States Division at the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
