Chinese entrepreneurs interested in doing business with Cuba
Published on July 17, 2014 Email To Friend    Print Version

HAVANA, Cuba (ACN) -- A business mission of China will visit Cuba over the next few days in order to identify business and investment opportunities and, with it, consolidate bilateral economic relations.

On the occasion of the visit, on July 21, two meetings will be organized with representatives of the Cuban business community, particularly in the sectors of renewable energy, biotechnology and tourism, according to Cuba’s Chamber of Commerce.

According to the program, there will be a business forum in the morning, sponsored by the Chinese Bureau for Trade Development, in which possibilities offered by Law 118 for Foreign Investment, approved in April by the Cuban Parliament, will be tackled.

Customs, work and fiscal incentives offered by the special development zone at Mariel to attract foreign capital will occupy the attention of participants in the forum, as well as presentations on business opportunities in the biopharmaceutical industry, renewable energy and tourism.

The parties will also attend the evening session of a seminar organized by China's Agency for the Promotion of Investment, in which representatives of the enterprises Chinalight National Light Industrial Products Imp. & Exp. Corporation and CITIC International Co. will take part.
