Blacks in heaven?

Blacks in heaven?

By Abdulmajeed K. Nunez

My problem with orthodox religion is the descriptive imagery
The afterlife scenery of eternity
With no angels that look like me
You mean heaven won't have any black pickney?
And everything will be as white as can be
That imagery does not make sense to me
Then I beg to ask why did God create me
And my ancestors as black as can be?

Why was Africa chosen to be the cradle of civilization?
Why did the prophets run to Ethiopia when facing prosecution?
Why has Africa survived the holocaust of 100,000,000?
Why is there an African blueprint in every nation?
Yet no blacks are mentioned, not even at the pearly gates
I have no choice but to believe these stories are fakes

Everyone wants to go to heaven
But no one wants to die!
That's another lie!
If you see how some Belizeans live you would cry
Many Belizean barely di get by
I was born to die
Sleep is a temporary death
A prep for when the final stage is set
When one sleeps he's not conscious of time nor space
His soul returns to where it came from in the first place
Reality as he knows it is erased

Colour of the spectrum; then in heaven there won't be none?
Can't see this as fun. How come?
What about my family and friends
I guess they won't go to heaven
Then maybe God will change their colour, since colour matters
Or does it? Then he is a racist creator!

A heaven without melanin
I cannot imagine
My pigmentation is a blessed thing
Am I disqualified because of the colour of my skin?
Which was not of my own choosing
Can't be the same bible we are all reading
God created us into tribes and nations so we can get to know one another
No one is greater, men created borders, isms and schisms
Class and a story of Jesus returning to break the cross

Blacks were here first not last
I don't need the Vatican to get a pass
Religion is for the elitist class
To justify the wealth they want to amass
