Bahamian motivational speaker presents at black student leadership conference in Florida

GAINESVILLE, USA -- Bahamian born, international motivational speaker, corporate trainer television and radio talk show host and author, Spence Finlayson was a featured presenter at the 11th Annual James E. Scott Black Student Leadership Conference held recently at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

Finlayson, along with Dr Michael Leslie, a tenured communications professor in the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida and Dr Belio A. Martinez Jr, a professor of Public Relations at the School of Communications Arts at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, facilitated a workshop on the topic “On Being Black and a Leader”.

Some of the workshop topics included:

• Where we came from
• Our values as leaders: Integrity, Health, Happiness and Wealth
• Who we are today
• Pathways to leadership
• Looking inward
• What inspires you?

The workshop was very well received with the students eagerly looking forward to next year’s conference.

Finlayson also discussed parts of his latest inspirational book “Dare To Be Great: Overcoming Life’s Challenges On Your Way To The Top !” which is available at Amazon.com and www.authorhouse.com
