BVI fishing complex gets rave reviews
Published on April 22, 2013 Email To Friend    Print Version

ROAD TOWN, BVI -- With the implementation of new vacuum sealing and flash freezing technology at the BVI Fishing Complex, British Virgin Islands’ residents have described the progress in positive ways.

The new “freshness enhancing” technology has been available since March 2013.

Several seafood consumers were interviewed as they purchased fish at the complex on April 10.

Robin Thompson, a frequent customer, said, “For, me, being a charter yacht chef, this has been an absolute God-send. Vacuum packing eliminates 99 percent of all the freezer burn in the fish. So, longevity of the fish is great…”

He added, “The other thing here is the great customer service. Mr Williams [acting manager, BVI Fishing Complex] and the rest of the team really go out of their way here, to get me the fish, source me lobsters, when I need it and care about the after-service; the quality of the fish.” He emphasised, “They give really, really, good customer service. They call me and tell me when they have stuff (sea food). It makes my job a lot easier.”

In an interview with Brian Fahie, another satisfied client, he said, “I am very happy with the improvements. The vacuum sealing is like taking a fish out of the water and putting it right into the pot. It is a really good change.”

Acting manager of the BVI Fishing Complex, Lloyd Williams, later added, “Persons have been really impressed with the level of freshness they can get from this type of processing. It is our hope that more local businesses and residents take notice of the quality of the goods and services that we are providing.”

The vision of the BVI Fishing Complex is to provide the highest quality seafood, customer service and fisherman’s products while ensuring a safe healthy and friendly environment for their associates.
