African-American billionaire stars on Caribbean-based TV show

He was born to middle class hard working parents, and educated in the St Louis public school system. He worked his way up through college and law school to become one of St Louis’s leading businessmen. In the decades that followed, Roberts used his leadership abilities to build a business empire that encompasses television broadcasting, radio broadcasting, real estate development, plus hotel ownership and management. Today he is one of America’s most successful and respected African-American business leaders and is the author of “Action Has no Season, Secrets and Strategies of Gaining Wealth and Authority.” He is the recipient of numerous awards such as the 2009 Trumpet Award for Business, 2007 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Morehouse College Distinguished Leader, just to name a few. He is the chairman and CEO of the Roberts Companies, headquartered in St Louis, Missouri. The creator and host of the Dare to Be Great TV show, Spence Finlayson, interviewed Roberts at his seaside Roberts Castle in Nassau, Bahamas. Dare to Be Great is aired in 21 Caribbean countries and parts of the United States on CaribVision Network.
